Release Athens 2025<\/strong> welcomes Glass Beams<\/strong> and SPRINTS<\/strong> on Wednesday June 18th<\/sup><\/strong> at Plateia Nerou<\/strong>. The psychedelic, enigmatic trio from Australia and the electrifying band from Ireland are coming to Greece for the first time to accompany IDLES<\/strong> in a diverse evening that will bring together some of the best new names on the global music scene today.<\/p>\n

Glass Beams<\/strong>, inspired by Rajan Silva<\/strong>‘s cultural roots in India and the musical influences of legends such as George Harrison and Ravi Shankar, builds an exquisite bridge between East and West.<\/p>\n

Silva, the only member of the masked trio from Australia who revealed his identity with the EPs \u201cMirage\u201d (2021) and \u201cMahal\u201d (2024), has managed to create a unique sonic universe that combines psychedelic elements and live instrumental music with surf-rock influences, electronic experiments and dance rhythms.<\/p>\n

Within a short period of time, the impressive group has attracted millions of listeners around the world, and their rise continues at a rapid pace. At the same time, their captivating, sold-out live performances have already established them as one of the top new acts on the global stage, making them sought after at all the major festivals.<\/p>\n

Every once in a while, a new band comes along that the media designate as “the one that everyone will be talking about”. In the case of SPRINTS<\/strong> this is 100% true.<\/p>\n

The Dublin four-piece formed in 2019 and introduced themselves to the public with two compelling EPs, \u201cManifesto\u201d (2021) and \u201cA Modern Job\u201d (2022). Their fame quickly began to spread in the circles of the post-punk scene (and not only). Now, in 2024, they are having an incredible year. Their debut album “Letter To Self” was celebrated. Garage punk and indie rock full of energy and soul, with the introspective lyrics of singer and main songwriter Karla Chubb speaking of personal trauma, catharsis and resilience.<\/p>\n

This was followed by sold out shows in the US and Europe, opening for IDLES and Pixies, playing festivals like Glastonbury and End Of The Road! The release of their fantastic new single “Feast” has only confirmed their momentum and cemented their place in the UK “assault” alongside the likes of IDLES and Fontaines D.C.<\/p>\n
