Release Athens 2025<\/strong> welcomes Avenged Sevenfold<\/strong> on Saturday June 7th<\/sup><\/strong> at Plateia Nerou<\/strong>. The legendary Californian band are getting ready for their first ever performance in Greece, a historic night that their diehard fans, and metal fans in general, have been dreaming of for a very long time.<\/p>\n

With over 20 million records sold worldwide and two consecutive No. 1 albums on Billboard 200 (2010\u2019s \u201cNightmare<\/strong>\u201d and 2013\u2019s \u201cHail To The King<\/strong>\u201d), Avenged Sevenfold<\/strong> have established themselves as one of the most important and successful acts in the music world over the last 25 years.<\/p>\n

Formed in 1999 as a metalcore band, M. Shadows<\/strong>, Synyster Gates<\/strong>, Zacky Vengeance<\/strong>, Johnny Christ<\/strong> and Brooks Wackerman<\/strong>‘s musical identity quickly evolved beyond the confines of the metal scene. Their breakthrough came with the release of \u201cCity of Evil<\/strong>\u201d (2005) and the anthemic single \u201cBat Country<\/strong>\u201d, and the rest is history.<\/p>\n

A7X<\/strong> (as they are known to Deathbats, their hardcore fans around the world) have gone on to dominate with their next releases, racking up billions of views and streams and leaving a prestigious legacy that has secured their place in every prestigious list of the best metal bands of all time.<\/p>\n

Beyond their great songs, however, Avenged Sevenfold are equally known for their spectacular live shows, selling out arenas and headlining the world\u2019s most prestigious metal and rock festivals.
