Deadletter—currently a six-member lineup—is an alternative/art-punk band originally formed in Yorkshire by childhood friends Zac Lawrence (vocals), Alfie Husband (drums), and George Ullyott (bass).
Influenced by LCD Soundsystem, The Stranglers, Captain Beefheart, and Can, Deadletter combine sharp social observation with dynamic rhythms and intense art-punk aesthetics. They first made their mark with their EP Heat!, which introduced their politically charged and lyrically complex approach, but rose to prominence in 2024 when they released their debut album Hysterical Strength, which NME describe as “[striking] a winning balance between foreboding and fun.”
Deadletter have built their reputation through relentless touring and explosive live performances. From the streets of Yorkshire as teenagers to performing alongside names such as Placebo, Yard Act, Do Nothing, and Tropical Fuck Storm in major European venues, the band has cultivated a steadily growing and devoted following.
Their second album, Existence Is Bliss, will be released on February 27. The first single, “To the Brim,” marks a new chapter in their musical evolution, demonstrating their willingness to move beyond their post-punk roots toward more experimental paths, without losing the raw energy and social commentary that characterize their work and have earned them a place among the most exciting up-and-coming bands in the UK.

More about SNF Nostos 2026, an anniversary celebration
SNF Nostos 2026, an open and multifaceted gathering of which the concerts are only one part, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). From June 21 to 28, the dynamic celebration will take place not only at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in Athens, its usual homebase, but also at other locations throughout the country, from Northern Greece to the Peloponnese so that more people can learn firsthand about the Foundation’s work.
United by SNF’s guiding principle of putting “humanity at the core,” signature events like the SNF Nostos Conference, the SNF Dialogues, and the SNF Nostos Run will return. Accompanying them will be a series of new experiences, including an interactive digital installation that will take visitors on a virtual journey through the Foundation’s grants, special performances by the Greek National Opera ballet, a magical interlude, and much, much more. Stay tuned!
