Bodysnatcher at Release Athens 2026
Release Athens 2026 welcomes Bodysnatcher on Thursday, July 9th, at Plateia Nerou. One of the leading acts in modern deathcore, the American band is coming to Greece for the first time and will join Pantera and Trivium for one of the most raw metal nights of the summer.
Formed in Florida in 2014, Bodysnatcher evolved into one of the most prominent bands in the modern extreme music landscape. Taking their name from Ed Gein, the notorious criminal who inspired classic horror films such as Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, they have built their reputation on an extremely violent sound that sits between deathcore and hardcore, as well as their explosive live performances.
Comprising Kyle Medina (vocals), Kyle Carter (guitar), Kyle Shope (bass), and Chris Whited (drums), Bodysnatcher began their journey with Abandonment EP (2015) and their debut album Death of Me (2017). Through releases such as Bleed-Abide (2022), the Vile Conduct EP, and this year’s Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home, described by Kerrang! as “the most brutal album of the year”, they have reached what is arguably the peak of their career to date.
On Thursday, July 9th, Bodysnatcher arrive in Greece for the first time at exactly the right moment, ready to deliver one of the most intense live shows of this year’s Release Athens.
