Useful Information & Access Guide – Release Athens 2026

Before heading to Plateia Nerou, please take a moment to read the following guide. It contains all the essential information on access, transport and parking, helping you arrive comfortably and on time, so you can enjoy the festival from the outset without any stress!

The easiest way to reach the venue is by public transport. The tram and several nearby bus routes stop within easy walking distance of Plateia Nerou. See all public transport options. Please check here.

If you are travelling by car, we recommend allowing extra time for your trip, as traffic and parking demand may be higher than usual. Several parking options are available near the venue, including the outdoor car park next to the Taekwondo Indoor Arena, Aviation Parking, and the car park near Flisvos Marina.

Alternatively, you may park at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre (SNFCC) and access the venue via the Esplanade. This pleasant and short route, is suitable for both pedestrians and cyclists.

Please note that, due to ongoing construction works on the “Old Coastal Road”, access to Plateia Nerou before the Thiseos traffic lights (when travelling from Piraeus towards Plateia Nerou) remains closed. We recommend using alternative routes.

Free parking is available for VIP ticket holders at the outdoor car park of the Taekwondo Indoor Arena, located within walking distance from the festival entrance. Please check here.

Visitors with a ticket for people with disabilities (PwD), may use the designated accessible parking area, which provides direct access to the dedicated viewing platform with an unobstructed view of the stage. The area is designed to ensure easy and comfortable access for people with mobility impairments, as well as their companions.

Please note that these seats are primarily reserved for PwD ticket holder. Companions may use the available seats only if capacity allows, after all PwD ticket holders have been accommodated. Please check here.

We kindly ask all visitors to respect public spaces and accessibility routes by avoiding parking on pavements, pedestrian crossings, or in locations that obstruct pedestrian or vehicle traffic.

To make the most of your visit, we recommend familiarising yourself with the layout of Plateia Nerou before arrival, making it easier to locate key facilities and services throughout the venue.
