Epica is one of the most important bands in the contemporary symphonic metal genre. Since its formation in 2002 by guitarist Mark Jansen, the Dutch band has successfully combined impressive, complex orchestrations with the magical world of heavy metal.
With Simone Simons on vocals, the band has released a series of critically acclaimed albums, such as “The Divine Conspiracy”, “Design Your Universe” and “The Holographic Principle”, and has established itself as one of the most important bands on the scene.
This year, they released another critically acclaimed album, “Aspiral”, proving that they are currently experiencing one of the most creative periods in their history.
