Although he was a key composer on the first two albums of the aforementioned band, the 22-year-old guitarist, hungry for music and creativity, decided to form his own group and forge his own unique path.
Infusing the NWOBHM sound with radically faster riffs, unique technical versatility, dense compositions and the primal energy of punk, Mustaine never stopped pushing the boundaries of the metal scene.

Their latest, 16th album of their career, “The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!”, is the organic follow-up to the Grammy-winning, “Dystopia” (2016), and a clear reference to their leader’s victorious battle with throat cancer. “Now I feel more energy than ever”, Dave declares – and he proves it on stage, along with the whole band, leaving everyone stunned.
