Pale Blue Eyes are a modern indie-pop trio with roots in South Devon and Sheffield. At their core is the duo of Matt and Lucy Board, with bassist Aubrey Simpson completing the lineup. Often compared to artists such as M83 and Slowdive, their identity remains distinct: shimmering synths, subtle krautrock influences and shoegaze-tinged melodies that balance nostalgia with optimism.
Their debut album, Souvenirs (2022), was well received, while the follow-up, This House (2023), confirmed their momentum and established them as one of the most compelling acts of the new British scene. Their third album, New Place (2025), marks a period of transition: a move to Sheffield, a fresh start, and a reflection on the journey that brought them there. Mixing and mastering were handled by the city’s renowned producer Dean Honer, known for his work with The Human League and Róisín Murphy.
In 2024, Pale Blue Eyes toured across 12 European countries as support for Slowdive, and have shared the stage with acts including GOAT, Sea Power, Editors, Public Service Broadcasting and The Midnight.
