Formed in 1999 in Orlando, Florida, Trivium stand among the most influential bands to emerge from the contemporary metal scene. Blending melodic metal and metalcore with more extreme genres such as thrash and death metal, they quickly set themselves apart through explosive songwriting and a powerful live presence.
Their breakthrough came with Ascendancy (2005), now widely regarded as a classic, achieving strong sales and major accolades: “Album of the Year” by Kerrang!, Gold certification in the UK, and later a place among Metal Hammer’s “15 Greatest Metal Albums of the Century.” This success was followed by a series of equally acclaimed and commercially successful releases, including The Sin and The Sentence (2017), which earned them a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance, and In The Court of the Dragon (2021), arguably their most complete work to date.
