High Vis added next to The Offspring and Bad Religion
Release Athens 2026 welcomes High Vis, on Tuesday July 7th, at Plateia Nerou. The Londoners, one of the most exciting contemporary British bands, brings the spirit of classic punk to the present day, joining the legendary The Offspring and Bad Religion for a night paying tribute to the genre.
High Vis is a band that has always stood out on the music scene in their homeland, combining hardcore with a broader alternative sound. Since 2018, the London-based band has developed a distinctive sound combining the raw intensity of punk with shades of post-punk and Brit pop, and even Madchester groove.
With their debut album No Sense No Feeling (2019), they presented their, self-described, “post-industrial Britain misery punk”, breaking away from the narrow confines of the hardcore scene. Their celebrated second album, Blending (2022), includes the tracks “Talk For Hours” and “Trauma Bonds”, in which Graham Sayle’s lyrics discuss social issues and political miseries while reaching a hand out to folks listening to give a message of hope.
In their latest album, Guided Tour (2024), High Vis sounds like a band reaching for new heights, bristling with energy.
On Tuesday, July 7th, we’ll welcome to Greece for the first time one of the most talked-about contemporary bands, set to add intensity and passion to an already explosive night.
