Dear friends of Release Athens,
A few hours ago, we were informed by Morrissey’s representatives that, due to an injury sustained by a member of his band—which also led to the cancellation of his previously scheduled performance in Serbia—his appearance at Release Athens 2025, on July 16, will not be possible. This is an unforeseen development and entirely beyond our responsibility.
For all holders of combo tickets that included this show, we are offering the following options:

1. Use your combo ticket to attend one of the next 3 or 4 festival days, depending on the type of combo you have purchased, with no additional cost and no further action required on your part.
Eligible dates:

July 11 – London Grammar, AURORA, Klangphonics
July 18 – Kylie Minogue & Loreen
July 19 – Gojira, While She Sleeps, Lacuna Coil
July 23 – Dream Theater, Mastodon, Haken

To clarify: No extra steps are needed to use your combo ticket on one of the above dates. You only need to present and scan your existing ticket upon entry.

2. Refund option
If you do not wish to make use of the above option, we will refund the portion of your combo ticket that corresponds to the July 16 show, starting July 23, after the conclusion of the festival, and within 15 working days.
In any case, and with the goal of turning this unforeseen situation into something positive, the show on Wednesday, July 16 will still go ahead with Supergrass and The Damned, with free general admission for all of you.
Attending this show does not affect your right to to the following options:
– use your combo ticket on one of the 3 or 4 upcoming festival days,
– or receive a partial refund for the July 16 performance in case you do not use your ticket at all.
