Dear friends of Release Athens,

A few hours ago, we were informed by Morrissey’s representatives that, due to an injury sustained by a member of his band- which also led to the cancellation of his previously scheduled show in Serbia- his performance at Release Athens 2025, on July 16, will be cancelled. This unfortunate development is entirely beyond our control or responsibility.

For those who have purchased tickets (16.7) or combo tickets that include this specific show, we are offering the following options:

1. Attend one of the remaining 4 festival days of Release Athens 2025,
using your existing July 16th ticket, at no additional cost and with no further action required on your part.

The available dates are:

July 11 – London Grammar, AURORA, Klangphonics
July 18 – Kylie Minogue & Loreen
July 19 – Gojira, While She Sleeps, Lacuna Coil
July 23 – Dream Theater, Mastodon, Haken

A detailed email with instructions will be sent to all ticket holders.

2. Alternatively, you may choose to attend the show of Beth Gibbons at Lycabettus Theater (20.7), by sending an email to support@releaseathens.gr with the subject line “TICKET CHANGE – MORRISSEY”.
Due to limited availability for this show, tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. If you do not wish to use either of the above options,
we will process a full refund of your ticket(s) after the festival concludes, starting July 23, and within 15 working days.

In any case, aiming to turn this unexpected situation into something positive, the show on Wednesday, July 16, will still take place with Supergrass and The Damned, and entry will be free for all Release Athens 2025 ticket holders.

For July 16th Ticket holders, please note:

Attending the July 16th free show with your ticket does not in any way affect your right to:
– use your ticket for one of the 4 upcoming festival dates,
– attend the Beth Gibbons show,
– or request a full refund, if you ultimately choose not to use it at all.

*Invitations (not purchased tickets) for July 16th are only valid for this specific show.
