Dear friends of Release Athens,

A few hours ago, we were informed by Morrissey’s representatives that, due to an injury sustained by a member of his band—which also led to the cancellation of his previously scheduled performance in Serbia—his appearance at Release Athens 2025 on July 16 will not be possible. This is an unexpected development and entirely beyond our responsibility.
For VIP ticket holders of the July 16 show, we are offering the following options:

1. Attend one of the following 3 festival days in VIP, at no extra cost (subject to availability):
By using your 16/7 VIP ticket, you may attend one of the remaining festival dates below without any additional cost, provided there is availability in the VIP AREA.
Eligible dates for VIP ticket use (with full benefits, subject to availability):


July 11 – London Grammar, AURORA, Klangphonics
July 19 – Gojira, While She Sleeps, Lacuna Coil
July 23 – Dream Theater, Mastodon, Haken

As VIP spots are limited, you must email [email protected] with the subject line “MORRISSEY VIP TICKET CHANGE” to check availability and reserve your spot in the VIP Area.


2. Request a full refund
If you do not wish to use either of the above options, you are entitled to a 100% refund of your ticket’s value. Refunds will be processed after the end of the festival, starting July 23, and completed within 15 working days.

In the meantime…
To turn this unforeseen situation into something positive, the show on Wednesday, July 16 will still go ahead with Supergrass and The Damned, with free general admission for all ticket holders.

⚠️ PLEASE NOTE:
For this specific show, the VIP Area will not be in operation, and VIP amenities (parking, open bar, etc.) will not be available.
All attendees will be able to enjoy the show from the general admission area (arena), free of charge.
Attending the July 16 event does not affect your right to choose either of the two options listed above.We hope to see you at one of the upcoming Release Athens 2025 shows.
