The moment when Release Athens 2026 comes to a close has arrived. On Saturday July 25th, we bid farewell to Plateia Nerou with a fitting finale for the festival’s anniversary edition.
The evening starts with Dutch symphonic metal giants Epica, one of the most important bands in the genre. Following the release of Aspiral, Epica return to Athens at one of the strongest moments of their career.
The legendary Savatage follow as co-headliners, delivering an extensive set that will span many of the countless highlights of their remarkable discography.
The final chapter of this year’s festival belongs to Sabaton. With their spectacular production, signature stage design and relentless energy, the Swedish metal titans are set to bring Release Athens 2026 to a close with one of the biggest metal events of the summer.
