Release Athens 2027 presents Tokio Hotel on Wednesday July 7th, at the brand-new ERGOSTASIO35. One of the most successful German bands of the past two decades, Tokio Hotel achieved worldwide success with “Durch den Monsun”, gained millions of fans across the globe and are returning to Greece after many years as part of their major European tour, “SUMMER ENCORE 2027”. The band will perform songs spanning their entire career, alongside tracks from their new album, “ENCORE”.

ERGOSTASIO35, located at 35A Pireos Street & 2 G. Kondyli Street, is Athens’ first hybrid cultural venue, designed to operate all year round.
This modern, versatile venue has a capacity of 5,500, a partially retractable roof, advanced infrastructure and high-quality sound, lighting and visual equipment. The stage setup can be adapted to the requirements of each production, while the venue’s flexible layout allows it to accommodate a wide range of events and productions, in either an indoor or outdoor setting.

Tokio Hotel are one of Germany’s most internationally successful bands, with a career spanning more than 20 years, over 10 million records sold, numerous awards and sold-out tours across Europe and the Americas.
Their story changed forever in 2005 with “Durch den Monsun”, the song that transformed them from a young band from Magdeburg into a global phenomenon almost overnight. With Bill Kaulitz, Tom Kaulitz, Georg Listing and Gustav Schäfer remaining together since those early days, Tokio Hotel have managed to break beyond the German market and build a huge international following.
In their early years, the band developed a sound combining elements of rock, emo and post-grunge, while their striking aesthetic and Bill Kaulitz’s distinctive image also brought clear glam rock influences to their music. In the years that followed, Tokio Hotel evolved considerably, gradually moving away from the sound of their early releases and incorporating more elements of pop and electronic music. Albums such as “Scream”, “Humanoid”, “Kings of Suburbia”, “Dream Machine” and “2001” reflect this journey and their ongoing desire to reinvent both their sound and image.
2026 marks the beginning of another chapter with “ENCORE”, their seventh studio album, set for release on 16 October. Its twelve new tracks, including “Without You”, “Memory Lane”, “Changes” and “California Nights”, connect the band’s past with their present-day identity, ahead of their return to major European stages with “SUMMER ENCORE 2027”, a major European tour that will also mark their long-awaited return to Greece.
