A major Music Festival in Athens!

Launched in 2016, Release Athens has become one of the most important music events in Athens and across Greece, taking place mainly at Plateia Nerou, a beautiful open-air venue right by the sea, just minutes from downtown Athens.

With extroversion and optimism as its main mottos against the turbulent times in which the festival was born, Release Athens rejuvenated the local entertainment scene, believing in the liberating power of music – from which it takes its name.

The vision

Release Athens presents diverse lineups that transcends limits and boundaries. Our vision is to provide the Greek audience -and beyond- with the opportunity to enjoy quality shows with high standards of safety and comfort, creating unique memories that will last a lifetime.
